The Oman Desert Marathon Team

Welcome to the 10th edition of Oman Desert Marathon. For us the Oman Desert Marathon is not only a race, but it is also an event that joins many people from the local community and that expresses the love of the people for Oman. Our goal is to welcome all the participants with the legendary Omani hospitality and to give to all our runners the possibility to live a fantastic experience in the Omani Desert.

This event is fully organized by Omani’s with the collaboration of international partners: Oman Desert Marathon has the support of all the local communities and the High Patronage of His Majesty the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said. Governments such as the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Sports Affairs, to mention a couple of them. All the support from the local authorities and institutions make the Oman Desert Marathon a safe race in a beautiful and unique environment, with the authentic taste of an event designed and organized by those who are born and live in Oman.

We designed the course to let our runners experience the beauty and the magic of the fabulous dunes of the Al Wasil area and to finish the race on a Desert Camp in Bidiya. This concept will guide the participants in a journey across the desert on the route of the ancient caravans, from the red dunes of Oasis of Bidiya to finish at Al Jawharat Desert Resort in Bidiyah.
